Drew
Mary has one older brother,
Doug, and has only had pet fish
throughout her lifetime. She got
involved on Student Senate as the
housing representative for
Brookhart Hall, and then became the
Secretary of Religious Affairs for the past
administration. After shaping and developing
the role of her cabinet position, Mary decided to run for Vice President, helping to develop Senate into an organization that students and members respected and wanted to be a part of. Implementing and prioritizing student feedback is Mary’s main goal. She wants all students to feel comfortable sharing opinions and suggestions for future events. She stresses importance of an open communication line and how it cannot be overlooked. Outside of Senate, Mary is the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Treasurer for Colleges Against Cancer, and is serving her 3rd year as class representative on the University’s Pharmacy Council. She competes as a member of the Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee Team, is a brother of the Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, and has been initiated into a variety of academic and leadership honorary societies. Throughout her time here on campus, she has participated in choral groups, played basketball for the University, and worked an on campus job. Amid her extracurricular activities, she has been on the Dean’s List each semester. Mary is excited about the Goehmann- Komandt administration and is prepared to dedicate the time necessary to help our campus grow as much as possible. Her planner is never too far out of reach, and organization will be her key to a successful administration.

WHAT IS STUDENT SENATE?

Student Senate is the official student government for Ohio Northern University. Student Senate provides a voice for students in administrative and university affairs. Governed by a constitution and by-laws, members of the Senate play a key role in representing the student body on a community-based level.  Student Senate meetings are held on Wednesdays at 6pm during the Fall and Spring semesters, and are open to the public!  Students who wish to apply for Student Senate can contact their respectful campus Senate office for more information.

If you would like to simply inform us or be informed about things happening around the university, don't hesitate to stop by our office and chat (Mac Offices above ResLife). The Senate would love to hear the good and the bad, whichever you are experiencing as you study here at Northern. Let us know of anything you think might improve your experience here at Ohio Northern University!
